Based on various examples, including ones with Dagestan national culture, where a place and role of prejudices and stereotypes in cross-cultural communication are analyzed. Factors in the creation of stereotypes in communication activities involved in business language were identified. There are positive and negative factors that deserve to be emphasized with the presence of stereotypes in the modern culture and in people`s minds. An integrated approach to coeducation and interaction, relation to formation of stereotypes among youth, older generation and representatives of different nationalities. The analysis of research is of scientific and practical interest for training specialists of Mass Media, public relations, in the practice of usage of problematic-developing education technologies. A negative undertone of prejudices can be overcome by education and changes of public morality. The can also disappear as a result of collapse with existing standards of conduct in a society. New aspects of professional educational activities in teaching and communication in the process of sociocultural exchange were highlighted. An overall result of the analysis is that albeit particularly challenging and almost impossibility of elimination of stereotypes from a modern sociocultural life it is necessary to make joint efforts to overcome negative thinking in cross-cultural communication

The article is devoted to a comprehensive historical and cultural research of funeral rites as an important part of traditional Dagestan culture. The funeral rites of the peoples of Dagestan are the most well established and “consecrated” by the ancient traditions cycle of actions, the violation of which has met and still meets with strong condemnation from public opinion. It reflects the moral attitudes developed by a long experience of national life. Despite the deeply tragic nature of the process itself, there is a clear regulation of ritual activities, there are elements of theatricality. The entire cycle of the early funeral rites of the people of Dagestan is analyzed, which includes prefuneral customs and rituals, funerals themselves and rites and customs associated with funerals. A comparative characteristic with the funeral rite at the present stage is also carried out; its current and obsolete elements are indicated. The authors come to the conclusion that the funeral ritual of the Dagestan peoples was and remains multi-layered, despite the greatest Islamization and regulation by the clergy of many moments of the funeral cycle. It is shown that many elements of the former pagan rituals have been preserved and reflected in the funeral rites, although in a somewhat transformed and modified form.

The study reveals the potential of the artistic culture of the peoples of Dagestan in the XX century. This culture is of great historical value and scientific interest, because the history of the development of the artistic culture of the peoples of Dagestan is one of the important aspects of the historical, cultural and socio-political development of the republic. The indicated problem is not well understood. The article is one of the first attempts at a systematic analysis of culture as an experience in the dialogue of imaginative thinking, emotions, and the interaction of people. It is known that the cultural process is impossible without the restoration and study of the names and ideas of prominent representatives of the cultural heritage. As a result, the study is saturated with the names of famous artists, sculptors, poets and writers, playwrights. They made an invaluable contribution to the treasury of the national art culture of Dagestan. With these names, the traditions of national culture and thought return to us. Dagestan art culture of the twentieth century is represented by almost all areas of culture - from professional theater to opera, from architectural schools to postmodern searches in art and painting, and this is an objective result based on the real content and results of many years of efforts to develop national cultures.

Forms of conflict regulation in pre-revolutionary Dagestan are analyzed: Maslaat (an arbitrational or mediatory method of conflict regulation, which has become common in the North Caucasus) and Adat (a custom, relic norms of pre-Islamic legal complexes, a set of rules of a customary law among Dagestan peoples). Various models of their implementation in the traditional pre-revolutionary culture of the peoples of Dagestan are revealed. Features of Dagestan Adats of different societies and settlements are noted. These features are manifested in the fact that, for all the unity and external similarity of codes and provisions, no paragraph repeats the other literally, that is, all of them are of a private nature. The authors analyze the origins of Adats in Dagestan and note that each community (jamaat) had its own code on the basis of common, i.e. single Adat right in Dagestan is divided into many codified codes. Each code fell into Adats of specific communities. The reasons of sustainability of these forms in society are investigated, despite numerous attempts to introduce Shariat norms in pre-revolutionary Dagestan, and the main factors by which Shariat has not displaced Adats are being identified. According to the authors among such factors there is, for example, the fact that Adats got into the life of the Highlanders firmly, and became the basis of their lifestyle and morality. They were more understand-able for the Highlanders, as they provided for less stringent punishments than Shariat. Adats were means of replenishment of the budget of leadership elite: bek (the category of privileged population), uzden (the feudal class in the Caucasus), etc. In their elimination the last saw a real threat of their financial wellbeing. The significance and relevance of Adats and Maslaat in modern society are justified and their role in modern culture of Dagestan peoples is determined.

The article is devoted to an important and relevant topic of reflection of pagan customs and rituals in the traditional culture of Dagestan (using the example of traditional Islam). The authors set a goal to differentiate the purely religious-canonical and actually surviving, pagan forms in this religion. As a result of the analysis of a whole complex of pagan customs and rituals: a pilgrimage to the mountains, the cult of saints, graves, the cult of deceased ancestors, magic, and comparing them with the existing norms of Islam, it was found that pagan rudiments were firmly entrenched in folk, traditional Islam. It has been established that at the present stage, these vestiges and cults continue to influence the ethical and moral norms of the peoples of Dagestan, since they are often perceived as purely canonical norms of Islam. This circumstance is often caused by numerous disputes and discussions in modern society. The essence of the discussions usually boils down to the following. The religious concept of Islam clearly defines the thesis of rejection of any innovations in religion. As a rule, innovations or new teachings mean everything that was somehow superimposed on Islam over many centuries, and that has nothing to do with early Islam of the period of the righteous caliphs. Hence the question is whether this or that phenomenon in religion is a pagan relic, a rudiment, or this canonically justified view is of particular relevance.

The features of the Dagestan mentality are studied, the characteristic of the traditional system of customary law embodied in adats and Sharia is given, the conclusion about their direct influence on the formation of the mentality of the Dagestan peoples is made. A number of customs and traditions of the peoples of Dagestan are analyzed, including such public institutions as hospitality, kunachestvo (friendship), twinning, atalychestvo (fosterage) and others, which embodied the identity, national psychology and mentality of the highlanders. The creative, humanistic beginning of the traditional national culture of Dagestan is justified and its key role in consolidating the peoples of Dagestan and strengthening good neighborhood relations with the peoples of the North Caucasus is emphasized. Analysis of the origins of traditional Dagestan culture allows us to better understand and accept the features of the modern Dagestan mentality, its specificity and uniqueness.

The degree of influence of the Internet environment on young people in modern culture is analyzed. It is noted that at the present stage, society and culture have ceased to be considered the main institutions of socialization, which play a major role in personal identification issues. This niche has been occupied by the global network and information and communicative space. There is a need for young people to develop critical thinking skills and media literacy, since their absence can have a number of negative consequences, from conflicts on religious grounds to violation of ethno-national and civic identity. The audience questionnaire was conducted, it was revealed that the goals of visiting social networks by young people are different in the different age range. And if in one case the Internet environment is used for educational and cognitive purposes, as a convenient platform for obtaining information, then in another case it is used for entertainment and leisure. At the present stage, due to the excessive immersion of young people in the Internet environment, processes of uncontrolled socialization are observed, as well as the formation of false identities, when it is appropriate to talk about the diversity of manifestations of their "own self" among young people. The article recommends to subject the study of the real motives of "immersion" of young people in the virtual reality, which will allow specialists to help young people in matters of self-identification, individual choice of the behavior model that would correspond to their true essence.

The subject of consideration is the emerging practice of participation of public institutions in the spiritual and moral education of students and schoolchildren, and within its framework, the practice of state-religious partnership. The formed model of activity "university-school-social partnership" is analyzed. The process of forming a system of state-religious partnership in the spiritual and moral education of students is considered in more detail, carried out in the educational and pedagogical process by the teaching staff of the oldest in the North Caucasus Dagestan State Pedagogical University. Almost all faculties of the pedagogical university conduct disciplines - religious studies, the history of world religions. It is emphasized that the training of students in this direction is necessary for a modern specialist. On the basis of questionnaires, it was concluded that university students study with interest the peculiarities of the religions of Dagestan as a multi-national and polydenominational region of the Russian Federation, there is a growing interest in Muslim law and religious disciplines in general. This interest is explained not only by the recognition of the serious contribution of Muslim lawyers to the world legal culture, but also by the role that Islam plays in the modern world, which has a direct impact on the political situation in many countries and the system of international relations in general.

The specificity and peculiarities of the disciplines - youth studies, juvenile law, juvenile court and their role in the formation of innovative culture of students are analyzed. The processes taking place among the young generation of the XXI century, with its new geopolitical spaces, challenges and risks of globalization, and geo-economic crises are investigated. For Russia, the role and attitude of young people are directly linked to the country`s national security. The mechanisms linking youth studies, juvenile court and juvenile law to all branches of law are traced. An attempt is made to analyze youth studies, juvenile justice and juvenile law in the interdisciplinary aspect as a new complex branch of science, which considers the young generation as the major factor of social reproduction, which determines progressive development of the future society.

The peoples of Dagestan have accumulated many creative traditions and customs over their centuries-old history. It is shown that it is in traditions and customs that the national character of the people, their mentality, life priorities and ideals are embodied. Such an important sign as continuity is emphasized, which in turn is one of the most important conditions for spiritual development in the modern multicultural region. People`s morality, embedded in traditions and customs, has a pervasive ability, regulates interpersonal relations in all social spheres, including education. It is especially noted that customs and traditions acquire special significance in the conditions of multicul-turalism of the Dagestan region, where each people, regardless of the size and composition of the population, has their own special customs and traditions. Hence, in the conditions of multinational Dagestan, the problems of the development and functioning of national cultures, the tasks of preserving the national-ethnic components of spiritual culture, customs and traditions, the way of life, and folk crafts have always been relevant.
